Monday Just Got Real

Monday Just Got Real

Monday just got real. I sometimes wonder if other Granny Nanny's run into these weird " does this stuff only happen to me"? moments?Today started off with a bang. The kids arrived at 7:30. After feeding 2 kids, 4 dogs and I think me we headed to the Grand 1's eye appointment. Then after a quick stop at the grocery store be were back home by 11. That's about the time I got brave or went brain dead. I still haven't decided.

I packed the kids back into the truck for a surprise trip to the movies...Finding Dory. I had made a sandwich for Grand 1 so we just picked up some popcorn, water and juice and settled in for the movie...that's where the problem began. :( I have been eating a really clean diet for almost 3 weeks. Nothing processed, fattening or FUN! At a weak moment I stuffed my face with popcorn. I mean stuffed!! Then all hell broke loose.

Chemical warfare was taking place in my body. I felt horrible, I was in popcorn shock, a cold sweat and I knew something REALLY bad was about to go down. So I drug Grand 1 & 2 to the bathroom with me. Cold water splashed on my face was no help. You know that feeling like an alien has possessed your body? You can't stand noise and that includes a 4 yr old that won't stop singing some song... and a 2 month old that is now fussing too! OMG It's working it's way out but you still aren't sure how it will enter the atmosphere.

So I ask as gently as I can the 4 year old to PLEASE stop singing and to please push the baby stroller around in tight circles ... This is like a bad B movie. I try to get a grip but quickly realized the alien was approaching the exit and didn't want to scare the Grands in the handicapped stall. I warned her I was going to throw up and not to be frightened...I don't throw up quietly or without drama.

There is something very surreal about a 4 yr old comforting a grown ass woman in a handicapped stall at the movie theater. Now I can't help but wonder how much my Grands will remember about their time with YaYa. This wasn't part of the plan and is another one for the books. Moral to today's story...never give into temptation! Moral 2: always carry your Digize and Peppermint EO's ... my life lines. Was the movie good? The beginning and the end were!
